Picked up the vibes from their father, Lloyd Smith, a former sideman with Count Basie and Duke Ellington. The twins graduated from Florida A&M University and landed a gig at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. Moved back to St Louis in 1981 and played a fifteen year job at the Moose Lounge. Toured with Fontella Bass in Europe.
